Celebrating Our 2026 NAPLAN Results

We are so proud to share some wonderful news with our school community. Our 2026 NAPLAN results are in, and they reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the ongoing support of our families.

Our Year 3 Students Are Shining

Every single area assessed in Year 3, Reading, Writing, Spelling, Numeracy, and Grammar and Punctuation, saw our students outperform both similar schools and the wider network average. Some real highlights include:

  • Writing: 97% of our Year 3 students achieved a strong or exceeding result, well above the similar schools average of 89% and the network average of 88%.

  • Reading: 93% of students achieved strong or exceeding results, compared to 81% for similar schools and 79% across the network.

  • Spelling: An impressive 90% of students achieved strong or exceeding results, more than 20 percentage points above both comparison groups.

These results speak volumes about the strong foundations being built in our early years classrooms, and the explicit teaching approaches our staff bring to every lesson.

Our Year 5 Students Continue to Grow

Our Year 5 cohort also delivered pleasing results, with Reading, Numeracy, and Grammar and Punctuation all sitting above both similar schools and the network average. Reading was a particular strength, with 86% of students achieving strong or exceeding results.

As always, we look at NAPLAN as one piece of a much bigger picture. It gives us useful information to guide our teaching, but it never tells the whole story of the curious, capable, and creative learners in our classrooms every day.

A Team Effort

Results like these do not happen by chance. They are the product of consistent, high quality teaching, a curriculum built on evidence based practice, and a school community that values learning. Thank you to our wonderful teachers for their skill and care, and to our families for the encouragement and support you provide at home. Most of all, congratulations to our students for the effort and pride they bring to their learning every single day.

We look forward to building on this momentum as we head through the rest of the year.

Help Us Stay Connected

We’d love to hear from our families about how we can best communicate with you about the things that matter most: your child’s academic progress, wellbeing and behaviour.

We want to make sure the information we share is useful, timely and easy to access, while also making sure we are using the most efficient ways to keep families informed.

We have put together a short survey that should take around 5–8 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help us understand what is working well and where we can make communication even better.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts:

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We really value the partnership we have with our families and your input will help us continue to improve how we communicate with you.

Please feel free to pop in for a chat with either Carrie, Brendan or I, should you wish to discuss anything.

Our doors are always open!

Take care,
