There is a huge amount of work to be done in the Outdoor Education spaces now that Winter has disappeared and our students have been hard at work There has been an increase in rain and sun which means that our seedlings and herbs have really started to show growth in the veggie garden. Currently we have a huge array of edibles growing in the veggie garden:

Herbs such as Mint, Rosemary, Oregano, Dill and Chives

Brassicas such as Broccoli and Cabbage

Leafy greens such as Kale, Lettuce, Pak Choi, Spinach and Silver beet

Legumes such as Broad beans and Peas

We also have Garlic, Baby carrots and Radish's a plenty!

Students have been busy weeding, planting their seedlings they grew from seeds and gathering the winter pruning from the vineyard. We have some exciting things planned for the pruning's (think Christmas decorations already!) The chickens are super happy at the moment as the Year 4 and 5 students worked hard to clean up their coop, including making 2 new chicken baths for them to bath and clean themselves.

A huge thanks to Bunnings Sunbury for donating new gardening gloves, rakes and other tools to allow us to get our work done! Here is Max, Henry and Eoin with the donated items.
