Message from Mrs. Meyer

Dear Families,

It is a pleasure to welcome you to this week’s update. There is a wonderful sense of stability and forward momentum humming through our hallways right now, and for good reason!

We are officially celebrating our first full week without relocations or closures. After a period of transition, seeing our teachers and students settled into their own spaces is a breath of fresh air.  The initial dust has settled, rhythms are being established, and we are starting to see real momentum.

As we enter the second week of Lent, the Gospel brings us the story of the Transfiguration. Fr. John reminded us this weekend that we shouldn’t simply stand still in awe of God’s glory—even if the "awesome" weather lately made it easy to do so! Instead, Jesus calls us back down the mountain to face the challenging path ahead. Our mission is to find God in the everyday and work to make Him visible to others.

Just as Jesus gave His life to build the Kingdom of God, we are called to that same commitment in our own lives. While we see many glimmers of good work already happening in our community, we recognise there is still a road to travel and much to learn. We look forward to the second half of the term, anticipating many more wonderful moments of presence and dedication.

Strengthening Our Partnership

Our recent Program Support Group (PSG) meetings have been incredibly powerful. The insights you’ve shared regarding your children’s needs are invaluable, helping us ensure our goals remain perfectly aligned with our shared aspirations. We are eager to keep this dialogue open and continue gathering your input as the term progresses. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions.

Assembly

We were thrilled with the high family turnout at Friday’s assembly. These sessions are an essential part of our culture, empowering students to lead the conversation about their education. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the "wonderful things" happening at our school, narrated entirely by our student body.

Prayer Gathering

Join Us for Prayer with 1/2P This Friday afternoon, our school community will gather to observe the second week of Lent. We are looking forward to being led in prayer by our wonderful 1/2P students, who will help us reflect on this season of preparation and renewal. The gathering will begin at 3:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room, and we would love to see you there.

Clean up Australia Day

Our school grounds are looking a little brighter this week thanks to our Year 1/2 students! In a wonderful display of leadership, our juniors spearheaded our Clean Up Australia Day initiative.

Armed with gloves and bags, they picked up litter and also set an example for the entire school community on the importance of environmental stewardship. It was inspiring to see our youngest leaders taking ownership of their environment and showing us that you're never too young to make a big difference.
