TheirCare News
Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends!
Welcome to Week 4 of Term 3!
Week 4 is almost at a close and we can’t believe how quick the time is going. The theme at TheirCare this week is ‘Winter Wonderland’. Even though the weather has been amazing this week we thought the children would love to create some cool winter crafts. In the morning and afternoon’s, the craft has been out of control with children creating cute and colourful penguins, snow mittens and even snow ice-poles. Each week the children have become more and more invested in the crafts at TheirCare with children eager to know what Angie has planned. Although it is Winter Wonderland week, some children still love to create friendship bracelets, ironing bead creations and the new addition of finger knitting. This week children have loved finger knitting and have even tried to teach some staff to do it. We love when the children teach us things as it reminds us that we can always learn new things as educators.
Olympics at TheirCare is still very popular with last Friday afternoon dedicated to Olympic games with prizes. Children participated in running races, relay, scooter competitions and loved versing their peers to win a prize. Gaga Ball is becoming very popular in the afternoons with the Gaga Pitt never empty. Children have started to play more tennis especially in the younger years after seeing our older year 6’s versing each other.
We would like to remind all Prep parents that our lovely little TheirCare preps are now walking to TheirCare on their own and at 3:20pm when the bell goes. All preps have adapted very well to walking to TheirCare on their own but do miss skipping the line ahead of all the older children. We are so glad they are doing well, and they should all be very proud of themselves.
We would like to remind parents to make sure that they are cancelling their children in the mornings and afternoons. In terms of late book-ins - it would be greatly appreciated when booking children in late in the afternoon that you notify us so that we can add them to the list and also notify the school so that children are aware of where they are going and do not get upset or confused. As always, we appreciate the support and that extra help of notifying us.
We would like to wish our permanent staff Dhaval all the best as he is relocating to a Their Care closer to home and thank him for his short time with us and how much the kids have grown to like him. Ashleigh is heading off on her second last teaching placement which means she will be away for 3 weeks. We wish her all the best.
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Isaiah Hailegiorgis for always showing respect to staff and educators when it is roll call and knowing when it's time to listen. Well done, Isaiah! You should be so proud of yourself. 😊
