Principal's Message

Industrial Action - Tuesday 24th March
On Tuesday 24 March, our school was affected by Industrial Action. Thank you to families for your understanding and support. These actions form part of broader negotiations aimed at improving conditions for staff and ultimately supporting better outcomes for students across the system.
Harmony Day Celebrations
We had a fantastic day celebrating Harmony Day at Launch!
Students participated in a range of engaging activities including our Virtual Reality Indigenous Culture experience, sushi making, poetry writing, Indigenous games and our whole-school mural – ‘Be the I in KIND’.
It was wonderful to see our students demonstrating our school values of Respect, Empathy and Responsibility, showing inclusiveness and appreciation for the diversity within our community. A big thank you to our staff for organising such rich and meaningful learning experiences.
Colour Run – A Huge Success!
Our Colour Run was an absolute highlight! A huge thank you to our incredible Parents & Friends team for organising such a fun and well-run event.
We were thrilled to raise over $5,839 – an amazing effort by our community! Thank you to all families who contributed, helped on the day, or came along to cheer the students on. The smiles (and colour!) said it all.
Prep Excursion - Upper Yarra Museum
Our Prep students recently visited the Upper Yarra Museum, where they explored what life was like in the past.
This excursion provided a wonderful opportunity to bring their learning to life, with students engaging in hands-on experiences and asking thoughtful questions. We were so proud of the way our Preps represented our school with curiosity and enthusiasm.
ACMI Excursion - Years 3/4/5
Our Year 3/4/5 students recently travelled into the city to visit ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image).
Students explored digital storytelling, media and film, gaining insight into how stories are created and shared in modern contexts. It was fantastic to see such high levels of engagement and curiosity, with many students inspired by what they saw and learned.
It was another busy and rewarding fortnight at Launch, with so many opportunities for our students to learn, connect and shine. Thank you for your continued support.
