Principal's Message

Welcome Picnic Thank You
Thank you to the Parents Association and staff for organising last week’s Welcome Picnic. It was so special to see so many families coming together and celebrating our community. Our students loved the farm animals and all of the activities led by our local sporting groups and community groups.
We are especially grateful to the parents and staff who assisted on the day, helping to lead activities, run the BBQ and support the second-hand uniform sales. This was a special community event and I thank everyone for the role you played.
Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to all of our students for their participation and effort at this week’s athletics carnivals. I was very impressed by the way students supported each other and gave their best in all of the events.
The students at Mount View are fortunate to be able to participate in ten different athletic events, providing them with a wide range of opportunities to challenge themselves and build confidence. I am so grateful to our PE team for their planning and organisation and to our staff, volunteers and parent helpers for all they did to ensure the success of both carnivals.
A special mention must go to our Year 6 student leaders, who provided outstanding support to our Year 3 and 4 students on Tuesday, prior to competing in their own athletics carnival on Wednesday.

School Review
The School Review took place last week, and I would like to thank all of our staff, students, and parents who contributed to this important process. Your engagement and feedback was invaluable as we celebrated our achievements and identified our priorities for the future.
The new four‑year School Strategic Plan will be presented to School Council for endorsement next term and will then be shared with the wider school community. This plan will provide the direction for our work together to focus on student learning, wellbeing and engagement.
End of Term
Thank you all for your support during this term and we look forward to seeing you for the start of Term 2 on Monday April 20. I will be on long service leave for the first week of term and return to work on Tuesday 28 April.
Have a happy and safe holiday.
