Friday 20th October: Mass and First Reconciliation for eligible candidates at 11.30 am

Friday 10th November: Mass at 11.30am

Friday 17th November: Mass at 11.30am

Friday 8th December: End of Year and Year 6 Graduation Mass at 11.30am

Reflection

Today we remember Pope Saint John the Twenty-third. He worked on the family farm before becoming a priest, a church diplomat, and finally the Pope. He soon called a meeting of the bishops of the world to let fresh air into the church. This meeting, the Second Vatican Council, opened on this day in 1962. "Good Pope John" is remembered for this very important event and for his cheerfulness and love of people.

Prayer 

God of our ancestors,

you freed the children of Israel

from slavery and from fear.

You were with them by day and by night.

Be with us in our choice to follow your way.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

First Reconciliation

We pray for the five students who are in the middle stages of their preparation in order to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. These students will continue to take part in their preparation lessons every Tuesday for their Religious Education lesson. Our students will receive their First Reconciliation after Mass on Friday 20th October. Everyone is invited to join us for this celebration.

Confirmation

On Sunday 5th November there will be five students who will be confirmed at the Parish Mass at 10:30am.  Monsignor Ted Wilkes will confirm our five candidates. Please keep the children in your prayers. 

OCTOBER - World Mission Month

Each year in October we participate in fundraising for Catholic Mission. Catholic Mission is a fundraising aid agency for Pope Francis. This year funds raised will be going to support families in Timor-Leste facing health and wellness challenges. 

Our Mini Vinnies students are currently planning some fun activities to enjoy during Mission Month,

Duct Tape the Principal Day!- Thursday 19th October- $1 per strip of duct tape!

Sacrament Dates for 2023

2023 First Reconciliation: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Years 2 and 3 for Friday 20th October 2023.

2023 Confirmation: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Years 5 and 6 for Sunday 5th November 2023.
