Reflection

On Tuesday the Church remembered Blessed Frederic Ozanam. He was born in France in 1813, became a husband and a father, and lived a life of true mercy and charity. Throughout his life, his simple hope was to "become better-to do a little good."

Frederic Ozanam was the principal founder of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, a society that continues his work of Christian charity. Today there are thousands of St Vincent de Paul societies in 131 countries. Ozanam died at the age of 40 in 1853. He was declared "Blessed" by Pope John Paul II on the 22nd August 1997.

Faithful God, by sending your Son

you kept the promise you made to your chosen people.

Open our hearts and our minds

to his message of salvation,

and help us to share the good news

every day of our lives.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Mass this upcoming Thursday 31st August

Please be aware that the students and staff will be celebrating Mass with Monsignor Wilkes this upcoming Thursday 31st August, instead of Friday 1st September as previously advised. The Mass will commence at 11.30am and and members of our learning community are invited to join us.

First Reconciliation and Confirmation

Last week, information was sent home to the families of all eligible First Reconciliation and Confirmation candidates in regard to both preparation programs that will be commencing soon. The information in both documents outlined all aspects associated with both programs. If you have any questions/queries regarding the Sacrament of First Reconciliation or the Sacrament of Confirmation, please feel free to contact Mr Hyatt.

Sacrament Dates for 2023

2023 First Reconciliation: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Years 2 and 3 for Friday 20th October 2023.

2023 Confirmation: Date has been set for our Catholic students in Years 5 and 6 for Sunday 5th November 2023.
