Although there is some time until the next holidays, there are maths enrichment programs running that some students may be interested in. The University of Melbourne is running an enrichment program, Micro Mathematicians, aimed at advanced Y5/6, Y7/8 and Y9/10 students who have an interest in maths beyond the classroom. The program offers a range of free virtual and in-person workshops throughout the year and new workshops are continually being added. Click here for more information.
A reminder that all students are receiving weekly maths homework, mostly in the form of one double sided sheet of questions. Students have one week to complete these sheets and they are often distributed and collected on the same day each week. Please speak to your child and check if they have a schedule to complete their homework on time each week.
Maths Club has been booming at the Junior Campus as students start to prepare themselves for ALTs. Students are encouraged to come along with homework tasks or maths work from class (as well as their lunch) to ask for extra help from one of the many maths teachers in attendance.
Some students may be enrolled in an event on Compass as a suggestion to attend. If you would like your child to be enrolled as an ongoing reminder to attend, please email your child's teacher.
Maths Club runs every Tuesday at lunch time outside the Think Tank.
Maths Club also runs at the Senior Campus at the same time in room 13.
