WEEK 4 | TERM 2

Dear Parents, Guardians and School Community,

Please take a moment to read the important updates and reminders below.

🚗 Student Safety – Back of School Drop-Off Concerns

We are becoming increasingly concerned about student safety at the back of the school during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Please note the following issues that have been observed:

  • Children are being dropped off from moving vehicles, which is extremely dangerous. Double parking is causing traffic congestion and blocking visibility.
  • Students are running across the road unsupervised, increasing the risk of accidents.

We urge all families to use designated drop-off zones, ensure vehicles are fully parked before children exit, and escort younger students across the road where necessary. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping our students safe.

⏰ School Gates & Punctuality Reminder

A reminder that school gates close promptly at 9:00am each morning and at 3:45pm for afternoon pick-up.

We have noticed an increasing number of students being dropped off late in the morning and collected late at the end of the day. Late arrivals disrupt learning routines and late collections can cause distress for students and create supervision challenges for staff.

We kindly ask families to support their children by ensuring they arrive at school on time and are collected promptly each day.

🧸 Calm Club – Donations Welcome

Our Calm Club has been a wonderful addition to the school and has quickly become a favourite space for many students.

Calm Club is a passive play space designed to support student wellbeing. It provides a quiet, nurturing environment where children can regulate emotions, build social skills, and enjoy calm, imaginative play during break times.

Due to its success, we would greatly appreciate donations to help continue developing this space. We are currently seeking gently used or new items such as:

  • LEGO
  • Kids’ play kitchen
  • Baby dolls and accessories
  • Soft toys or imaginative play resources
  • Costumes

If you have items you would like to donate, please drop them at the school office. Thank you for supporting this special space for our students.

🏥 School Nurse Program – Term 2

We are excited to welcome the School Nurse Program this term  for all Prep students. The program includes general health and development checks to support student wellbeing.

Prep parents have already received the School Nurse packs. Please ensure the online form is submitted by Friday, June 5th.
