Dear Parents,

This term we welcomed two new students to our school, Benedetta in Year 4 and Margherita in Year 6 and their parents, Veronica and Damiano. Their introduction to our school came about at our Sacrament of Reconciliation where Bernadette, one of our current parents, extended her hand in goodwill to Veronica. This interaction led to a conversation with myself and before long they made the decision to join our community. Please join me in making them feel welcome and thank you to Bernadette for extending her hand.

Wednesday last week, we held our School Cross Country event. The weather was kind to us and it was wonderful to see so many parents enjoy a lovely afternoon celebrating the achievements of our children. It was great to see our children try their best, be competitive as well as support one another. We look forward to learning who won the event which will be announced on Monday at Assembly. Those students who have progressed through to the District Cross Country Event are now posted on the Physical Education notice board. Thank you to Mr Paoli for organising a successful Cross Country event.

On Monday this week, our Junior School enjoyed an excursion to Puffing Billy Railway. This excursion directly connected to their Key Curriculum topic this term around how things change over time, developing the students' understanding of the past, present and future.

Thank you to our Parent's Association and our mum volunteers for organising and running the Mother's Day stall on Wednesday. It was wonderful to see the excitement and joy on the children's faces in anticipation of what gift to purchase for their mum.

Today we hosted our annual Mother's Day Breakfast. It was heart warming to see so many of our mums present, enjoying breakfast and connecting with others. The children sang 'Somewhere Only We Know' by Lily Allen beautifully at the conclusion of the event. Thank you to Megan in our Office for planning and organising the breakfast. Wishing all our mothers a happy Mother's Day on Sunday.
