One of the highlights has been our weekly Spanish class! The children have been enjoying learning new words, phrases, and songs in Spanish, expanding their language skills and exploring a different culture in a fun and interactive way. They’re picking up new vocabulary with great enthusiasm, and it's been wonderful to see them use their learning in everyday conversations.
We’ve also been focusing on emotions, helping the children understand what different feelings mean and how to express them. Through stories, discussions, and activities, the children have been learning to recognise and label their emotions, building their emotional literacy and self-awareness.
We also had a creative and cool activity with ice painting! The children loved experimenting with frozen paint blocks, watching as the colours mixed and spread across the paper. This activity not only helped develop their fine motor skills, but it also gave them a hands-on experience in mixing colours and observing how different colours interact with each other. It was a fun, sensory-rich activity that sparked a lot of curiosity and creativity!
In celebration of the start of Ramadan, the children took part in a lovely craft activity where they created lanterns and moon decorations. It was a great way to introduce them to the cultural significance of this time and allow them to express their creativity while learning about traditions from around the world.
Children spent time at the school playground, enjoying the opportunity to stretch their legs, develop their physical skills, and have fun together. Whether it was climbing, swinging, or playing games, they had a blast exploring new challenges and strengthening their friendships.
