Here are a few dates to pop in your calendars for events early this term:
Week 1 - Friday, 16th October - Free Hat Friday (Catholic Mission)
Week 1 - Sunday, 18th October - World Mission Sunday
Week 2 - Tuesday, 20th October - Year 3 Grade Mass 9:30am
Week 2 - Wednesday, 21st October - Crazy Sock Day (Children's Mission Day - Catholic Mission)
Week 2 - Sunday 25th October - Years 1 & 4 Family Mass
Week 3 - Tuesday, 27th October - Year 5 Grade Mass 9:30am
October is World Mission Month. It is a time when our school community and Church gathers in a spirit of unity, prayer and generosity. Across continents, communities come together to celebrate a shared calling that transcends borders, languages and cultures – a living expression of a Church united in Christ and sent forth in mission.
At St Edward's we will be participating in "Free hat Friday" and "Crazy Sock Day" to raise very valuable funds for this cause. By supporting Catholic Mission, we help provide essential aid such as food, water, education and emergency relief through Church-run programs. Together, we can bring hope and opportunity to those who need it most.

This year's World Mission Day (Sunday, 18th October) is unlike any other. For one hundred years, people in parish communities across Australia and around the world have joined together in prayer and generosity to ensure the Church can carry Christ's love to those who need it most. You are part of that long and faithful line.

We are excited to announce that our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held next week (Week 2).
Students will have the opportunity to browse available books with their class and create a "Wish List" of books that they would like to purchase prior to their campus "Sale Day". The students are eagerly awaiting Book Fair and we hope you can join us.
Primary Sale Day- Thursday, 22nd October 8.00am - 3.00pm
Infants Sale Day - Friday, 23rd October 8.00am - 3.00pm
Payment Options for Book Fair
There will be 3 payment options for purchasing books at our Book Fair:-
Option 1 EFT - This year we have arranged to have 2 EFTPOS machines to assist with the early morning lines. There will be a 1% transaction fee on EFT purchases.
Option 2 Cash - we will be accepting cash payments on our sales days. If you choose to send your child with cash, please ensure it is in a zip-locked bag with their name, class and amount on it.
Option 3 - Avoid the queue and use the prepay option on the back of your child's wish list. Students will complete a wish list with their class prior to our campus Sale Days. Parents decide how much their child can spend at the fair and will transfer that amount directly to Scholastic prior to Sale Day. This option works like a gift card. The student will need to return their completed wish list with the amount paid and the receipt number to use this option.
