Foundation News ~ Preps ~

This term, the Preps have been investigating the question, ‘How do we care for God’s world?’ Through our learning, we have been building our knowledge about Australian animals, their habitats and the different ways we can care for and protect our wonderful world.

To wrap up our learning, we enjoyed a special culminating excursion to Kyabram Fauna Park. With perfect weather, we had a wonderful day getting up close to some of Australia’s amazing animals and seeing many of the habitats we had been learning about. The students were highly engaged throughout the day, eagerly asking and answering questions and sharing their knowledge. It was a wonderful way to bring our learning to life. After a big day, many little Preps were very ready for a rest on the bus ride back to school!

St Mel's Breaky Club:

Come for breaky… second breakfast… or even third breakfast — all are welcome!

Our new Foundation students enjoyed trying out Breakfast Club for the first time and it’s safe to say they absolutely loved it! There were smiles, full tummies and a wonderful sense of community to start the day.

Breakfast Club is a beautiful way to gather, connect and ensure everyone begins the morning feeling nourished and ready to learn.

We look forward to welcoming more students as we continue to grow this special initiative.
