Welcome Back

Welcome back everyone for another exciting term of learning and growth at our wonderful school. It has been a delight watching smiling children reconnect with their friends and teachers over the course of the week and settle back into well-established learning routines. As I visited classrooms throughout the week, you wouldn't know the students had any time away and it was admirable how quickly and enthusiastically they jumped back into challenging themselves to learn new skills.

Term 4 Uniform

In the first week of term, we have all been able to benefit from the recent time change and soak up some extra sunshine. This has made it extra special to get outside in both learning and play but also comes with a few extra requirements to make sure students are taking care of themselves. As the weather continues to warm, please assist your child in making sure they are ready to be sun smart at school. Please talk to them about having an appropriate wide brimmed school hat, a good drink bottle they can fill with water and assist them with sunscreen if needed prior to coming each morning.

School Events

Term 4 is going to be action packed with not only classroom learning but also a range of other special events across our school. Please see the "calendar dates" section of the newsletter to access an overview of important events and dates across the entire school. Also, please check Compass regularly to ensure your child has permission to attend all upcoming events so they don't miss out. It has been fantastic to see some of these special events already starting to take place this week with the first Prep - Year 2 concert rehearsal happening on Wednesday. Future dance stars, who have been waiting for this moment, took full advantage of the opportunity to show their moves as they excitedly started to prepare for their concert later in the term. We can't wait to see what the students come up with and help them to celebrate and show their new learning closer to the end of the term.

New Staff

We have been able to successfully appoint and welcome two new educational support staff to our school team to start term 4. Well done to both Andrea Dickinson and Jessica Durrant for their enthusiasm, energy and contributions to the students they have started to support in classrooms across school. We can't wait to get to know each of them better and incorporate their unique strengths and talents into our learning community for the benefit of our students and families.

Thanks to all families for your ongoing support and encouragement of your children in approaching each learning day this term with a positive attitude (especially on the mornings it just is not happening in your house). Your partnership with the school is greatly appreciated to assist every child in achieving their personal best and thrive. The staff are all looking forward to an engaging and productive term ahead as we finish the year strong and start our transition processes towards next year.
