Dear Families,

You're not mistaken - the newsletter is a little later than usual. This term has flown by and, as you will be aware, we have been trying to fit in as much as possible!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held next week on Tuesday 15 September and Wednesday 16 September. These are the last sessions for the year and I great chance to check in with your child's teacher to create a consistent learning partnership between home and school. If you have not booked an appointment, please do so as soon as possible. Our office staff will assign appointment times if you have not booked by Wednesday this week. If you are unsure of your appointment time please check on Compass or get in touch with the office.

Father's and Special Persons Day

On behalf of our school community, I'd like to thank our Parents & Friends Group for the organisation of this year's Father's and Special Persons Day stall. To all the fathers and father figures of our community, we hope you had a wonderful day celebrating and enjoyed being spoilt by your family.

Parent/Caregiver Opinion Survey

Thank you to all the families who have taken the time to fill out the annual Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey. This survey is offered by the Department of Education and is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of how families feel about the our school. Your opinions are important to us and contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needed at the school. We encourage all families to fill out the survey. To thank you for your time we have a sweet treat waiting at the office - just show the Office Team a screenshot of the completed survey to receive your block of chocolate. You can find all the information your need to access the survey on posters around the schoo and in Compass.

2027 Enrolments and Planning

We are getting to the time of year when we begin planning for 2027. We would appreciate if you could inform our Office Team as soon as possible if your child is leaving Albanvale PS at the end of this year. This will support us in ensuring we can organise a thorough transistion process fo ryour child with their new school, and also begin contacting families who have expressed interest in joining us next year.

With Prep enrolments for 2027 almost full, we are now accepting pre-enrolments of students across all other year levels in 2027. Very limited places are available in most year levels, so families are encouraged to submit a pre-enrolment as soon as possible to secure their place. If you know a family who you think would contribute to our community of excellence, encourage them to reach out today to find out more information or arrange a school tour.

Footy Day Celebrating the End of Term 3

We're celebrating the sporting finals season by getting dressed up in our favourite team colours for the last day of school. The Grade 6 House Captains have organised a plethora of activities to kick Term 3 off in style. There's even a special Footy Meal Deal available at the canteen for the day. Footy Meal Deal orders must be submitted through Compass by Sunday 3 September.

As always, please remember our last day of term (Friday 18 September) is an early finish of 2:30pm. If you are unable to arrange for the early pick up, please ensure you have enrolled/booked in Our Patch out of hours school care. Our Patch are also running a fantastic School Holiday Program, which you can find details to in the newsletter.

Achieve Excellence, Together.
