From Mr Chaplin

Thank you to our school community for your understanding and support on Tuesday during the recent Australian Education Union stop work action. We appreciate the flexibility shown by families and the respectful way our community navigated the disruption.

As we approach the end of term, a reminder that the final day will be next Thursday, with an early finish at 2:30pm. Our final whole school assembly will be held at 2:00pm, and we look forward to coming together to celebrate the term, acknowledge student achievements and draw the Easter Raffle winners!

We would also like to congratulate all of our students who represented the school at the recent Lightning Premiership Day. Their teamwork, sportsmanship and effort were outstanding across all events. A special congratulations to our Boys Cricket team, who performed exceptionally well and have progressed through to the next division, an excellent achievement!

As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we will be conducting a lockdown drill next Wednesday. These drills are an important component of our Emergency Management procedures and are carried out in a calm, age-appropriate manner. Staff will ensure that students are supported and reassured throughout the process.

Finally, we are excited to celebrate student learning next week with two fantastic events. We look forward to our Grade 5 Natural Disasters Expo and the Year 2 Landmarks Expo, which will showcase the curiosity, creativity and hard work of our students.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Kingston Youth Strategy consultation

Kingston Council have commenced consultation for their new Youth Strategy.

The strategy will guide how Kingston Youth Services support our young people into the future.

As a school we are encouraging our students to get involved and have their say and will be making the surveys available for them to complete. The surveys are anonymous with no identifying information being collected.

You can get involved too! Head to https://www.yourkingstonyoursay.com.au/kingston-youth-strategy-2027 for more information.

As this will be the final newsletter of Term 1 we hope you have a safe and happy Easter Break.
