COAL MINER'S CUP
On Friday 28th March, ten Stage 3 boys proudly represented St Francis Xavier’s at the Coal Miner’s Rugby League Gala Day in Gunnedah. The event brought together nearly ten schools from across the region, creating a fantastic day of competition and camaraderie.
The boys showed tremendous courage, determination, and sportsmanship as they faced tough and experienced opponents. Their teamwork was outstanding, with each player supporting and encouraging one another throughout the five games.
Well done to the team members Jaxon Rushby, Harry Crossing, Patrick Connole, Gus Collins, Mac Winston-Smith, Fletcher Hynch, Weston Burgmann, Logan Gillmore, Talib Hall and Harry Freeman.
A huge thank you to Mr Matt Hall for generously volunteering his time to coach the team both in the lead-up to the event and on the day. Thanks also to Mr Rottger for his support as team supervisor. All the boys should be incredibly proud of their efforts!
