TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 9 of Term 1.

We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.

We’re almost at the end of this term! Times flying, as we having so much FUN! We’re excited to keep you updated with all the latest things happening at TheirCare. We would like to welcome all our new families and children who were in attendance and will attend TheirCare this week. Hope you all had a great time at TheirCare!

Our theme for this week is “Seasons". The week was filled with a variety of fun and exciting activities. We spent our afternoons exploring different knitting techniques from wool hand knitting and finger knitting all led by the children’s own ideas and imagination. We did lots of art and craft activities such as scratch card craft, drawing, freestyle painting, created beautiful Autum leaf art and painted stunning cherry blossoms. We played a lot of card games including UNO and Cards Against Humanity, it was lovely to see the kids demonstrating their fine motor skills, problem-solving and social skills. Of course, no afternoon is complete without sports and group games! We had a fantastic time playing Everybody’s It, Fruit Salad, Bubble Ball, soccer, football and cricket on the oval, showcasing our skills and teamwork. It was an amazing mix of creativity, fun and physical activity that everybody loved!

Prep Update

We would like to let our prep families know that our prep children have been very confident with adjusting to the routine and following instructions well and also asking for help when needed.

Our prep children are being picked up by one of our TheirCare staff 10 minutes before the bell. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to discuss them with us.

Pupil of the Week

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Louie Smith for always being brave and confident when attending TheirCare and for listening and being respectful towards staff and everyone at Theircare. Well done Louie! We are incredibly proud of you.
