Welcome back to Term 2. I hope all students and families enjoyed a restful break and had some valuable time together. It has been lovely to see our students return with smiling faces and a real sense of enthusiasm as they reconnect with their classmates and teachers.

The first days of a new term are always important as we re‑establish routines and expectations. Across the school, students have been settling back into classroom learning, revisiting our shared values, and taking the time to reconnect with one another. These early weeks provide a strong foundation for learning, wellbeing and positive relationships as the term progresses.

This term, our focus remains on supporting every student to engage positively with their learning and to approach challenges with confidence and resilience. A calm start to the school day, regular attendance and consistent routines at home all play an important role in helping students feel secure and ready to learn.

Uniform and Sun-Smart reminder

As we move through the remainder of April, we remind families that school hats are required to be worn outdoors in line with our SunSmart practices.

We also ask for your support in ensuring that students arrive at school each day in the correct school uniform, including appropriate colours and items. Several students have recently been arriving in incorrect uniform, and while staff will always support students, this can result in multiple reminders or conversations throughout the day, which is not ideal for the children. Ensuring the correct uniform is worn helps students feel comfortable, confident and ready to focus on their learning.
