Message from the Principal

Dear Community,
We have had a fantastic start to Term 2, with students settling quickly back into routines and embracing the learning opportunities ahead. Classrooms have been buzzing with energy, curiosity, and a strong sense of purpose as teachers and students dive into new units of work.
A highlight of this week was our Grades 3–6 Cross Country event, held under clear skies and filled with enthusiasm and determination. Events like these give students an opportunity to demonstrate resilience, perseverance, and excellent sportsmanship. Whether striving for a personal best or simply aiming to finish, every participant should feel proud of their efforts.
Thank you to Clare for her organisation, Natalie, Brooke and AnneMaree for their support and supervision and to the families who came along to support and cheer on the runners. Your encouragement helped create such a positive and memorable atmosphere.
Looking ahead to Week 3, we have several exciting events planned:
- Our Grade 4/5/6 Camp to Melbourne will take place from Monday to Wednesday. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to build independence, strengthen friendships, and engage in unique learning experiences beyond the classroom. We wish all attending students and staff a safe and enjoyable camp.
- On Friday morning, we warmly invite our mums and special mother figures to join us for our Mother’s Day Breakfast, which will be held in the school library from 7:30am to 8:30am. This is always a special occasion and a lovely way to celebrate the important people in our students’ lives.
- Also on Friday, our Foundation to Grade 2 students will participate in Tabloid Sports at Wesley Hill Reserve. This fun-filled event focuses on teamwork, participation, and enjoyment, and we look forward to seeing our younger students engaged and active. Our Grade 6 students will attend to support their younger peers and the running of activities.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community. We look forward to another busy and rewarding week ahead.
Please see our key dates for Term 2 attached.
Kind regards,
Shannon Betham
Acting Principal
