Wellbeing Update

As we wrap up a busy and rewarding term at Lara Secondary College, it’s wonderful to reflect on the many opportunities our students have had to learn, connect, and grow.

Our Year 7 students, including Daniel (our student wellbeing officer), recently enjoyed their camp experience. It was fantastic to see students stepping out of their comfort zones, building friendships, and developing independence.

Meanwhile, our Year 8 camp was filled with fun activities and meaningful moments, giving students the chance to strengthen connections with their peers and create lasting memories.

Looking ahead to Term 2, we are excited to introduce several programs to support student wellbeing and engagement. Our Breakfast Club will be running twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays, providing students with a positive start to their day. We will also be launching our social and emotional learning program, Bunji, which focuses on building resilience, relationships, and wellbeing across the school community.

In addition, the Workshop Program will commence in Term 2 for selected Year 8 and 9 students. This hands on learning initiative offers practical experiences designed to build skills, confidence, and engagement in a supportive environment.

As the term ends, we wish all our families a happy and safe Easter break. We hope you enjoy a well deserved rest and quality time together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting term ahead!

Warm regards,

The Wellbeing Team
