Principal's Message

Kaileen Carr

Dear Parents and Carers

Week 7 marks the commencement of SASS recognition week with this year's theme "Thriving Schools Start With Us"

Our School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) are the true unsung heroes of our school. They are the front and centre of the school and their commitment to our community, our students and our staff does not go unnoticed.

From our General Assistant (GA) Phillipe, School Administrative Manager (SAM) Cathy, School Administrative Officers (SAO) Leesa, Angela and Carrolyn, Student Learning Support Officers (SLSO) Keira, Louise, Kierin, Ash, Emily, Catharine, Trent, Sofie, Haliey, Rich, Tori, Ryan and Sara who each play an important role in keeping our school running and supporting our students to learn, grow and prepare for life beyond our school.

Throughout this week, we encourage our students, staff, families and community to join us in recognising the incredible contribution of our SASS team.

A simple thank you or shout-out can mean a lot!

Thank you to all of our dedicated SASS staff for everything you do for Eglinton. Thriving Schools Start With Us - and at Eglinton, they certainly do!

Can I please ask that all toys stay at home. We are seeing an increase in toys being brought to school and into classrooms. These are distracting students and making it difficult for them to concentrate on their learning.

I would also like you to help with reminding students about our school expectations of being Safe Respectful Learners.

Bathurst Eisteddfod - Dance

A huge congratulations to our amazing dance groups who took part in the Bathurst Eisteddfod on Monday! We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm they put into perfecting the routines.

Stage 2 Dance Group — Highly Commended

High Potential & Gifted Education Dance Group — 3rd Place

What a fantastic achievement! Your commitment and talent certainly shone through on stage.

Student Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct applies to all NSW public school students. It applies to all school activities, both on and off the school site, including online, and how students conduct themselves individually and with other students, teachers, school staff and community members.

Teachers will continue to refer to the Student Code of Conduct throughout Terms 3 and 4 to ensure all students have a clear understanding of the expectations and the positive behaviours that help create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.
