2026 House Sports

On Wednesday the 29th of July Donald High School held their annual House Athletics for 2026. In the first House Athletics under the new two house system of Buloke and Richardson, we were blessed to have clear skies albeit a little windy.  

There were some outstanding efforts across the day, with Luca setting a new record 1.76m in the Open Boys high jump, a record that has stood since 1995.

The Buloke Junior relay team, made up of Elijah, Harvey, Layla G and Ellie, also set a new record in the Junior Mixed relay with a time of 58.35sec.

Other outstanding efforts came from River, Layla G and Baxter all winning six individual events, along with Harvey and Ryder both winning five events.

Our results and and group champions were announced this past Monday and were as follows: 

The age group champions were as follows:

• Junior 12, 13,14 YRS              River & Max R

• Intermediate 15,16 YRS-      Layla G & Ryder

• 17, Open YRS                           Milla & Luca

   

Overall house points for the day:

• Buloke =   774   =   1st

• Richardson =   614   =   2nd

Congratulations to Buloke for winning the first Athletics competition under the new two House system! 

A huge thank you to all the staff, House Captains and students for devoting their time to make the day run smoothly. A special to parents and guardians who came along to cheer and support all students involved.

The Interschool Athletics sports will be held in Charlton on Friday the 14th of August.  A list of students who have qualified will be posted on the noticeboard at school and permission forms will be sent home.
