Teaching and Learning

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to Term 3. Thank you all for your attendance and participation at the Three Way Conversations in Term 2. I hope you and your child found this time valuable and that you had the opportunity to share in your child's learning growth and set goals for the next term.

This term is a wonderful time for learning. This Semester all year levels will have a focus on Science. It will be an exciting time as our students engage in lots of hands-on experiments and activities.

The Year 3/4 students have already had their Camp evening and it was a full day of fun and learning for the students.

Mrs Harper has shared with you the fabulous experiences our students will engage in with the Henny Penny Hatching Eggs Program!

We also have the Maths Games Day for a selected group of students who are high achievers in Mathematics in Year 4 - 6. These students will compete with students from other schools in Mathematics games and problems.

A number of year levels have planned exciting excursions such as a visit to Science Works and the Melbourne Museum this term.

This Term we also have two big whole school events which are the school Athletics Carnival on Thursday, 27th August and the Art Show on the 8th and 9th of September.

The Book Week Parade has been brought forward to Friday, 21st August. We look forward to all our students coming dressed as their favourite character! We invite our parents to come along and join in the fun from 10:30am onwards.

Thank you for your support and partnership as we strive to offer the best learning opportunities for our school community.

Kind Regards,

Glennis Kerr

(Leader of Learning and Teaching)
