Melbourne Demons Day Trip

Our Academy AFL students were fortunate to attend a Melbourne Football Club training session ahead of their match against Hawthorn Football Club recently. It was especially great to see two former students out on the field (Thomas Matthews and Ricky Mentha), with our current students enjoying the opportunity to reconnect, take photos and watch them prepare at an elite level. A fantastic experience for everyone involved.

Gippsland AFL Champions

Over the past few weeks, we have had a number of AFL teams compete in the Gippsland SSV competitions. Well done to all teams and coaches (VET students Cruze, Noah and Brenton) on their amazing efforts. 

Our Year 8 Boys and Junior Girls were crowned Gippsland champions and will compete at state  level in August. 

Team Vic Team Selections

Congratulations to Ollie Main and Ollie Flegg on being selected to play in the Team Vic 14 Years and Under AFL teams. They will represent Victoria in the School Sport Australia Championships in July - well done boys!

Sam Flanders Plays 100 AFL Games

Congratulations to former LSA student, Sam Flanders, on playing 100 AFL games, playing with both the Gold Coast Suns and St Kilda FC.

Big V Milestone Games

100 Games for Xavier Holland

Congratulations to Year 8 student, Xavier, on playing 100 career AFL games. It's great to see such commitment and love for his sport!

Xavier Ladbrook - Top Draft Prospect 

Year 12 student, Xavier Ladbrook, was recently listed as number 16 in the Herald Sun's draft prospects for the 2026 AFL draft.

West Gippsland Badminton

We had a number of students compete at the West Gippsland Badminton recently and despite not winning, they displayed great sportsmanship and improvement throughout the day. 

Division Cross Country

Well done to the students who competed in the Division Cross Country recently. The students did incredibly well despite the rain on the day. Good luck to Olivia Maddocks, Kiara Lindsay, Zoe Bantock, Nathan Henry, Lochie Huston, Hayley Veli, Jake Cotter and Fraser Aubrey who will be attending the Gippsland Cross Country next week. 

Primary School Lightning Prem 

Thank you to all of the primary schools that attended yesterday and well done to our Sports Academy Team and students for scoring, umpiring and facilitating the day.
