It’s certainly been an eventful week weather-wise, with storms and flooding impacting parts of the Harvey townsite. We were fortunate here at the College to escape any damage, and our thoughts are with those in the community who may have been impacted. We hope that, wherever you are across our great state, Mother Nature is being kind.
Handbook Update
As part of our ongoing focus on student safety and wellbeing, we have recently reviewed and updated our College Handbook regarding banned items, including alcohol. Under this updated approach, wording in the Handbook will be updated to include -
"Any alcohol or other prohibited substances brought onto the College premises will be confiscated and disposed of by the College and will not be returned to students or parents /guardians. Items that are illegal will be handed to the Police."
This update ensures clear and consistent expectations and supports our responsibility to maintain a safe environment for all students, particularly within our residential setting. We appreciate your continued support in working with us to uphold these expectations.
We are also pleased to confirm that our 2026 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, 13 November. Please mark this important date in your calendars. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our students and families.
Staff Acknowledgement
A very special thank you to our wonderful cleaning and domestic staff, led by Grace and her merry band, who work tirelessly behind the scenes each day to ensure our College remains a welcoming, clean and well-cared-for environment. Their consistent commitment, positive attitude, and willingness to carry out their work without complaint does not go unnoticed.

In particular, we would like to acknowledge their efforts following the recent storms. While we were fortunate to avoid any major damage, the conditions certainly left their mark across the College grounds. Grace and her team went above and beyond to ensure that students and staff could continue their routines with minimal disruption.
Take care, stay safe, and have a great week ahead.
