From the Principal's desk

It has been another busy two-week period. The Prep to Year 2 students had their sleep over and activity night and a group of Year 5 and 6 students attended the AFL Max centre in Melbourne last week.

2025 Concert

This year our concert will be held at Numurkah Secondary College. We will be running a night performance on Wednesday the 10th of December at 6pm and a matinee on Thursday the 11th of December at 11:30am. Each family will have four tickets to each performance (this is due to the size of the hall). If families do not require all of their tickets, they can hand them back to the office and we will have a waitlist for families requesting more.

State-wide Orientation Day

This year State-wide orientation day is on Tuesday the 9th of December. We will be holding our 2026 Leaders speeches during the morning, and students will have the opportunity to move up and meet their teaching team for 2026. We wish a current Year 6 students a great day at their new Secondary Schools.

2026 Prep Enrolments

Current families with a child at Numurkah PS who will commence Prep in 2026 are encouraged to pick up an enrolment pack from the office. 

If you know of anyone looking to enrol at Numurkah PS for 2026 or still undecided, please encourage them to give the office a call or come in for a chat and a tour of the school.

The transition sessions have been very successful so far. Thank you to Ms McDonald and Ms Gray. We look forward to welcoming our 2026 Prep students on orientation day.

SunSmart

In-line with our SunSmart policy, all students must wear a bottle green broadbrim or bucket hat when outside during Terms 1 and 4. There are still a number of students who are not wearing hats. If your child cannot find their school hat, these are available from SPORTF1RST to purchase. Students who do not have a hat will need to stay under the shade at recess and lunch times. I would like to ask all families to please ensure sunscreen is applied before coming to school.
