We are delighted to welcome Fr John Vespa back to the Holy Spirit Parish Community!
Fr John Vespa will be celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving with us this weekend at Holy Spirit Church:
• Saturday, 22 November at 5:00 pm
• Sunday, 23 November at 9:30 am
We warmly invite you to join us for this joyful occasion as we come together in faith and celebration.Fr John was baptised at Holy Spirit and spent his early years in our parish before his family—parents Magdalena and Mario, along with his siblings—moved to Greensborough. There, he attended St Mary’s Primary School and later graduated from Parade College.
After 17 years of prayerful discernment, Fr John entered Corpus Christi Seminary in 2019. He was ordained to the priesthood by Pope Leo XIV at St Peter’s Basilica on June 27, 2025, during the Church’s Year of Jubilee—a truly blessed milestone.
Fr John has been appointed Assistant Priest at St Catherine of Siena Parish in Caroline Springs.
A special Morning Tea gathering will follow the 9:30 am Mass at Holy Spirit Church to thank and congratulate Fr John Vespa.
