Cricket!
Our whole school focus in PE lessons for this week, and the next few weeks, is cricket. All students from Foundation to Year Six have enjoyed learning the rules and skills involved in playing cricket including bowling, batting and fielding. In the coming weeks students will learn to put their skills and knowledge of cricket into a match situation.
Jump Rope for Heart
On Friday the 24th of October, the students took action and raised funds for the Heart Foundation, while at the same time showing the importance of keeping fit and healthy. Thank you to everyone who brought in a gold coin donation, we raised $667.90! Our donation will go towards helping to find a cure in the research of heart disease.
Basketball Hoop Time Regional Finals
On Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th of November, selected Year Three to Six students showcased their skills and sportsmanship in Basketball Victoria’s Regional Hoop Time finals, at Diamond Valley Basketball Centre and Eagle Stadium.
This event was a round robin style competition which had our students competing against schools from all over Melbourne. Extra special thanks to the parents and carers, who drove their children to this event and helped with scoring.
Check out the recap from both days on the following Hoop Time page!
