Hoop Time Regionals

Senior All Star Girls
Our Senior All Star Girls Hoop Time team played in the Regional Hoop Time Competition on Monday 11th November at Diamond Valley Sports Complex. Coached by Mrs Thomas, the girls played three games against some of the strongest schools in the region, but were unable to get a win across the line. In their second match against MLC, they fought hard to close a 6 point gap, bringing the score within a basket by the final siren!
Despite the tough games, the girls played with heart, hustle and solid teamwork, and held themselves with good sportsmanship and integrity - a true reflection of who we are at ENPS. Congratulations Ella, Isla, Cedar, Lilly, Mila, Georgia, Emily and Mia on an outstanding effort!
Junior All Star Girls
Our Junior Future Star Girls Hoop Time team played in the Regional Hoop Time Competition on Tuesday 12th November at Eagle Stadium. The girls played four games in total and, under the excellent coaching and guidance of Mia H and James B, managed to win them all!
After putting in an incredible effort all day, the girls played in the Grand Final against Footscray City PS, a team which they narrowly beat by 1 point in the pool games. With solid defensive hustle, everyone stepping up and some epic teamwork, they were able to secure their Grand Final win at 13-2. Congratulations coaches Mia and James, and players Willow, Audrey, Holly, Ana, Evie, Lexi, Scarlett and Quinn on an amazing effort.
We look forward to you girls representing our school in the State Finals on December 4th - The first ENPS team to make it this far!
Check out some quotes from the girls about their experience:
"The best part of the day was the feeling at the end of the last game, knowing we go through to State and how proud I was of the whole team working together!"
- Evie
"Our coaches helped me be more confident and aggressive. What I’m most excited for at State is representing ENPS!"
- Willow
"I’m most excited about playing again with my awesome teammates. Mia and James encourage me and give us set plays. It feels amazing, exciting, and extraordinary to get so far!"
- Lexi
"It felt really great having so many parents there cheering us on and supporting us through the days. It was like having a team of cheerleaders. They were very loud.
Before the games Mia and James really helped me perform how I was shooting. We were the only team there to have students coaching us and that made me feel really proud of them. I’m really excited because we are the first team from ENPS to get this far. I’m really proud to be representing the school."
