Yes! The rumours are true — he’s coming back!!!
We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that author Adam Wallace has chosen our school as one of a very limited number of schools to launch his brand-new book, Hatman.
Adam will be visiting on Thursday, 20th November, to share Hatman with students in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
To help celebrate this exciting occasion, we’re holding a Hat Day! Students are encouraged to wear a hat that’s either special or meaningful to them — it might be their favourite hat, one that shows off their personality, a crazy creation, or even just their trusty school hat!

Hatman has been 14 years in the making and is truly one of a kind — a blend of chapter book, graphic novel, action, adventure, superhero story, comedy, and even musical elements — all rolled into one!
In the lead-up to Adam’s visit, teachers will be sharing copies of Hatman in class. A copy will also be available at the office for any parents who’d like to take a look.
Families have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of Hatman (these won’t be available in bookstores, as Adam is an independent publisher). Simply follow the QR code below to access our special Bimbadeen order page, where books can be pre-purchased online for delivery directly to the school. With each order placed, Adam will also include one of his other current books absolutely FREE!
Adam is incredibly proud of his new work and can’t wait to visit us again — and we can’t wait to welcome him back for more stories, inspiration, and fun.
Purchasing his books directly from Adam helps support his mission to inspire children everywhere to love reading, writing, and making the world a better place — all while keeping the commercial world at bay!

10:00am – 10:55am | Year 4 |

With the busyness of Book Week and all the activities that come with it, this year we decided to hold our Book Fair towards the end of the year. This is a time when many families begin thinking about Christmas presents for their children and relatives — and for many, a book makes the perfect gift!
Once again, Lamont Books will be supplying our Book Fair. Lamont is an independent, family-owned business that stocks a wonderful range of titles — from unique books often found only in quality bookstores to many of the popular favourites you’d see in department stores.
The Book Fair will arrive on Friday, 28th November and will be open for business before and after school throughout the week commencing Monday, 1st December. The Fair will close after school on Friday, 5th December.
Book Fair Opening Times:
| Before School | After School | Xmas Concert Evening | |
| Monday 1st December | 8:15am – 9:00am | 3:35pm – 4:00pm | |
| Tuesday 2nd December | 8:15am – 9:00am | 3:35pm – 4:00pm | |
| Wednesday 3rd December | 8:15am – 9:00am | 3:35pm – 4:00pm | 5:00pm – 7:00pm |
| Thursday 4th December | 8:15am – 9:00am | 3:35pm – 4:00pm | |
| Friday 5th December | 8:15am – 9:00am | 3:35pm – 4:00pm |

All students will visit the Book Fair during their library session during the week and complete a ‘Wish List’, which they will bring home in case there’s anything they’d like to purchase. We remind students that a ‘wish’ is just that — there’s no obligation for parents or carers to buy any of the items listed.
As this is also the week of our Christmas Concert, the Fair will be open during that evening as well.
Till next time, happy reading everyone!
