Term 1 Week 8
Year 6 Leadership in Action: Annual Green Day
Last Friday marked another successful installment of our Annual Green Day fundraiser for Caritas, by celebrating all things Irish in memory of St Patrick. Our Year 6 students took the lead, organising a variety of creative stalls and activities for our younger students and their families.
It was a joy to watch their leadership skills in action; they truly embodied the spirit of being "leaders for others." We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the seamless way they managed the event. Special thanks also to the Year 6 teaching team for their support in the planning and oversight. Thankyou to all our families who shared in the celebration with us, we hope you had a wonderful day with us.
Kindergarten Open Day
It was a joy to welcome so many new and prospective families into our school community today for our annual Kindergarten Open Day.
There is a unique sense of pride that comes with opening our doors and sharing the heart of our school. Our visitors frequently commented on the elements that make our learning environment special, such as: The visible impact of differentiated and small-group instruction, our calm, engaging classrooms that invite curiosity and most importantly and the warm and smiling faces of our staff and students.
A sincere thank you to our leadership team and Mrs. Crockett for their planning and facilitation of the day. To our staff and students: thank you for being such wonderful ambassadors for our school. Your hospitality truly showcased the vibrant culture we have here at St. Nicholas.
Have a wonderful week, keep smiling
