Joblink Plus First Nations Art Competition
The Joblink Plus First Nations Art Competition (formerly known as the Joblink Plus Indigenous Art Competition) is a bi-yearly art competition and exhibition run by Joblink Plus and open to NSW artists who identify as First Nations of Australia or New Zealand.
The 2026 Joblink Plus First Nations Art Competition is open now, with entries accepted until Friday 20th March 2026!
Artists living in NSW who identify as First Nations of Australia or New Zealand are encouraged to enter their work in the following categories:
- Painting & Drawing
- 3D & Weaving
- Children (for entrants aged 10 and under)
- Youth (for entrants aged 11-17)
There is a maximum of four entries per artist across all categories. Full terms and conditions and further information can be found on the entry form and in the FAQ’s. We'll be exhibiting artworks in Tamworth from Saturday 2nd May 2026 to Sunday 10th May 2026 at the Tamworth Town Hall.

The Newcastle University - Wollotuka Institute team Kristy Faulkner, Yena Thompson and Denzel Tighe ( Past St. Philomena’s School student) recently visited St.Philomena’s School Moree to share information about Career pathways and opportunities at Newcastle University with year 9 & 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.Mrs Tighe from Armidale Catholic Schools also presented to the students opportunities about the upcoming Warraymaylaya Year 10 - 12 Cultural & Career Pathways Retreat in Term 2.
Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council Careers On Country
Tamworth Local Aboriginal Land Council Careers on Country 2026 is scheduled for Term 1, Week 7 at Trelawney Station, Somerton.
- Wednesday 11th March – Years 9 & 10
- Thursday 12th March – Years 11 & 12
This event offers a unique opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to engage with local employers, training providers, support networks, universities and community organisations, while exploring future career and pathway options on the beautiful Gomeroi Country with likeminded peers.
