Thank you to all our wonderful students for taking part in the Book Week Parade! Your enthusiasm, creativity, and fantastic costumes helped make the event a truly memorable celebration of reading. A big thank you also to our parents and families for your ongoing support, not only for the parade, but also for the Book Fair. Your encouragement plays a crucial role in fostering a love of books and reading in our school community. A special thank you to Ms Lloyd for her organisation and coordination of our Book Week activities. Thank you to everyone again for helping make Book Week such a success!

Well done to our Girls Touch Football Team on the way they played the Western Region Semi Final last Friday. It was a hard and fast game against a very highly-skilled team. We went down 10-1, but our girls never gave up. Well don’t to our 2026 Girls Touch Football Team, Mrs White and Mrs Guihot.

In Week 6, children in Year 3-6 will participate in the Check-in assessment. The Check-in assessment is a NSW Department of Education online literacy and numeracy assessment available to support schools to assess and monitor student learning. The assessment can supplement existing school practices to identify how students are performing in literacy and numeracy and to help teachers tailor their teaching more specifically to student needs. Students with disability may receive the same level of support during the assessment they would normally receive in the classroom. All students complete a reading assessment and a numeracy assessment. Year 6 students will also complete a writing assessment. Our assessment schedule is;

  • Tuesday 25th August – Reading assessment
  • Wednesday 26th August – Writing assessment
  • Thursday 27th August – Numeracy assessment
  • Friday 28th August – Catch up assessments
