Assistant Principal's Report

We have had a short but very productive week here at Naranga school.

This week the students have continued to prepare for our Athletics day celebration next week. It is great to see students supporting their peers to give their best effort and further develop their individual skills. Thank you to Andy Craig our Physical Education teacher for his organisation of the event and we are looking forward to seeing family and friends at Ballam Park.

Just a reminder to all visitors to please sign in when you arrive, and we ask all family and friends to remember that there is to be no use of any digital devices on the day.

Mobile Phone Use ‘Switch off and Store’

A reminder that the Department of Education has in place a mobile phone ban that requires students who bring mobiles phones to school to have them switched off and securely put away during school hours.

·       If students bring mobile phones or a device to school, it must be switched off and securely stored. All classrooms have a secure mobile phone lockable cupboard.

·       Having mobile phones and devices away during school hours can improve student focus and reduce unnecessary distractions.

·       By ensuring mobile phones are kept away, students can spend more time with friends, without the distractions and social pressures that mobile phones can cause.

We ask for the support of all our families, staff and students in continuing to support the implementation of this policy in our school.

Thank you for a wonderful week.
