School Philosophy

Orchard Grove Primary School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that engages curiosity, promotes learning, personal growth, and well-being for all students. We strive to develop adaptability and resilience so students can become valued members of the local and global communities and be prepared for future life experiences.

From the Principal

Hi everyone,

Our building works are continuing at pace, with the foundations taking shape this week. We expect the foundational concrete to be poured as the next milestone. The children have adapted to the new play areas and movement patterns around the school, taking a close interest into the daily changes taking place.

We are also close to completing the fences around the oval, which will see our grounds secured during the school day. The fencing will contain the small section next to the oval as well, with temporary fencing in place until the new sports pavilion is completed. Please look out for Compass messages from Evelyn Lowe our Facilities Manager as to which gates can be accessed during the day and the opening and closing times for all gates. All gates on the oval will be open after school, on weekends and during holidays to allow our wider community use of these spaces. 

Thank you to Mr Liston for all of his work in organising (and re scheduling!) Athletics Days. The organisation of events and students into events requires hours of work in addition to running events in the weeks before. Thank you also goes to the staff in supporting on the day with the students and events. We also appreciate the support of parents with events - we understand that it is hard to volunteer for the duration of the day, but having parents willing to help allows for more events and therefore more enjoyment for all of our students. 

Thank you to everyone who joined in with our Free Dress Day to support the Victorian Bushfire Appeal - we raised $627, which is a great effort! Don't forget we have a school Facebook and Instagram page - follow us for photos and updates on all our amazing events here at school.
