We strive to develop adaptability and resilience so students can become valued members of the local and global communities and be prepared for future life experiences.

From the Principal

Hi everyone!

Apologies for the shorter newsletter this week - I am writing this newsletter edition whilst watching a group of our Year 5 students work together to stack milk crates here at the Log Cabin in Creswick! At the same moment Mr Moore is with the Year 3 team on their camp down at Somers. Year 4 stud, despite having the not so great weather, completed their camp last week. At Orchard Grove we believe that camps are so important in building resilience, independence and allowing students to work in areas outside of their comfort zone. Thank you to all the staff who not only spend hours organising our camps, but also take time away from their families to spend the time on camp. A huge thank you also to our parents who take time out of their busy lives to support us with our camping program. A shout out also goes to Mrs Crozier for overseeing the day to day operations back at school!

Don't forget to come along to our Open Night next Tuesday - it is always fun to see school after dark and for our students to show their families what we do at school. We will have all classrooms open with activities to show case what our learning  can look like. There will be school tours for 2027 prospective parents.

Being Open Week also means we have the Book Fair at school! This is a fantastic fundraiser for our library so please take some time to pop in and see what there is on offer! Due to the building works the Book Fair is situated in the PAC.

Till the next newsletter....
