Dear Parents and Friends,
Welcome to our St Brigid’s Student Newsletter! We’re excited to share all the latest news, achievements, and upcoming events from our school community. We hope you enjoy reading it and feel proud of everything happening at St Brigid’s.
What is your favourite thing about being at school?
Quinn: Playing in the playground and doing fun artwork
Penelope: Making new friends
Harper L: Playing with Molly and my buddies

Ethan: Having STEM upstairs with Mrs Patterson
Noah: The climbing wall
What is your favourite thing you did with your buddy?
Quinn: Playing with Briar in the playground and giving Briar hugs
Penelope: Seeing Asher in the playground
Harper L: Running up and giving Sienna a hug
Tadhg: Playing basketball on the playground with Matthew and Jye
Ethan: Playing hide and seek with Kyle and Jasper and learning
Noah: Playing dodge ball and tagging Torin and Gus
Light the Way and Aussie of the Month awards were presented during our assembly.
Light the Way Awards.
The Light the Way awards are for students who have shown a positive attitude to learning and made growth.


Awarded to Mollie for always listening respectfully in class and trying her best in all learning activities, and for being a good friend and helper to all her peers.


Awarded to Jean for consistently applying himself to all tasks in all curriculum areas. He is making great gains and achieving success due to his continual efforts.
Aussie of the Month
Aussie of the Month is for someone who demonstrates the values of mateship, respect, fair go and inclusion.


Lerumo walks into the classroom everyday with a smile and a positive attitude. He listens respectfully and gives his best to everything he does. He is a good friend to all and looks out for his peers both inside and on the playground.
The St Brigid's Year 5/6s played Dingley Primary School for Interschool Sports last week.

What sport did you play?
I am on the Volley Ball team
How did you think you went?
I actually think that I did really well.
What was your favourite part of interschool sports?
My favourite thing was playing with my friends as well as winning every single game.
Islah
What sport did you play?
I played Cricket.
How did you think you went?
I think I did amazing because my bowling to the batter was really good.
What was your favourite part of interschool sports?
My favourite part of Interschool Sport is working as a team with people who I haven't worked with before.
Elodie
What sport did you play?
I played tennis.
How did you think you went?
I think I did very well and even better in doubles with Darcy.
What was your favourite part of interschool sports?
Being able to play friend and being able to improve my team work.
Ricky
What sport did you play?
I played Cricket.
How did you think you went?
I personally think I did very well.
What was your favourite part of Interschool sports?
Playing cricket with my friends and the team
Grace
What sport did you play?
I played Volley Ball and Volley Bounce.
How did you think you went?
I think I did well but it has been challenging adapting to new sports because I've had to fill in for cricket the last few weeks.
What was your favourite part of Interschool sports?
My favourite part of Interschool sport was learning new skills and playing against different schools.
Levi
What sport did you play?
I play on the Cricket team, which I love!
How did you think you went?
I think we did very well, winning two out of our four games.
What was your favourite part of Interschool sports?
My favourite part of our games were when I got to bowl.

Cricket Girls
Our amazing St Brigid's girls Cricket team won. 52/27
Cricket Boys
The score for Cricket Boys was 91 to 41 in favour of St Brigid's.
Volley Ball
For volley ball St Brigid's won with a score of 2 sets to 1.
Volley Bounce
In Volley Bounce we won 2 sets to 0.
Girls Tennis
For the girls Tennis we won 11 to 1. GO GIRLS!
Boys Tennis
In boys Tennis we tied, with a score of 6 all.


We wish Oscar all the best for Division Swimming next Tuesday.


A reminder to our Year 5/6 families, we will be having our Camp Information Night TONIGHT at 7.00 pm. We will meet in the 5/6 area upstairs.

Let us know your suggestions now, they can be absolutely anything, from your favourite saint to your best sports idol! We can't wait to hear your amazing ideas. Easter Bonnet Parade is approaching - Monday 3oth March. Time to get crafting! We are sure it will be an eggcellent time.
