Principal Message

Be Kind, Be safe, Be respectful, Be responsible, Be resilient, Be ready
Dear Families,
As we approach the King's Birthday long weekend, I would like to remind families that students will enjoy an extended break, with Monday's public holiday followed by our scheduled School Closure Day on Tuesday. We hope this extra-long weekend provides an opportunity for families to spend time together, rest, and recharge before we return for the remainder of the term.
We are also very excited to be launching our Before and After School Care program with Elysium from next week. This is an important addition to the services available to our families and one that we know many in our community have been looking forward to.
If you have not already done so, I encourage you to register with Elysium. Whether you require regular care or simply want the peace of mind of having support available when unexpected events arise, it is beneficial to have your family registered and ready to access the program when needed. We look forward to seeing this valuable service become part of the life of our school community.
Over the past week, our students have been actively engaged in National Reconciliation Week. Through a range of meaningful learning experiences and conversations, students have explored the importance of reconciliation, respect, and understanding between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.
We extend our sincere thanks to our FIRE Carriers students and staff for their leadership and commitment throughout the week. Their efforts have helped deepen awareness and foster important conversations across our school community. We are grateful for the important work they undertake in promoting reconciliation and encouraging all of us to walk together with greater understanding and respect.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school. I wish all families a safe, restful, and enjoyable long weekend.
Warm regards,
Pamela McKillop
