Dear families,
Last week we sent home an Operoo notice about Father Joseph's farewell. We also sent home a template that we would love you all to fill in with your farewell messages for Father Joseph and return to school as soon as possible. We will collate all the messages and have them made into a book. We are asking all families to make a donation towards a farewell gift for Father Joseph if you can. We are going to buy Father Joseph a travel voucher as a farewell gift, so that he can come back from NSW to visit is 90+ year old mother in Melbourne as often as he can.
Enormous thank-you to Nicole and her band of helpers who organised and ran second hand uniform sale outside the office on Tuesday. If you have any clean uniform items that your children have grown out of that you would be happy to donate to the second hand uniform supply, please drop them off at the school office.
It was so lovely to be part of the Blessing of the Animals last week. We have to extend a very big thank-you to Father Gerry who filled in for us. He was very complimentary about our beautiful school and welcoming community and was genuinely joyed by the experience of being part of his first animal blessing. Thank-you for making him feel so welcome!

Next Friday, 21st November, we will be holding our annual F - 2 House Athletics and Cross Country Event between 9.00 -11.00 am. You are all very welcome to join us to cheer on your children as they enjoy the day's events.
Well done Georgia!
Next week Georgia (5/6P) will be representing Victoria for the School Sports Victoria Softball 12U team in a week long tournament at the Blacktown International Sports Centre in NSW.
Georgia is fairly new to the game with just one season under her belt but is very passionate and eager to learn. She underwent a series of try outs to be selected for the team back in August and September and since being selected has undergone some fairly intense training leading up to the big event.

Max wins Bronze
A huge congratulations to Max D, who finished 3rd in the SSV State Championships for shot put!
Read Max’s message below:
On Thursday the 6th of November, I went to Lakeside Stadium and participated in State Athletics. My first event was shotput and I came 3rd place. I also participated in long jump and came 7th. My friend, Braden, trained me and helped me improve. Below is a photo of me with my medal. I'm looking forward to competing again next year in athletics.

Please consider offering your time to help at the Bunnings BBQ on Sunday 16th November. Our Parents' Association work very hard to build community and raise valuable funds for our school and your help is always very much appreciated.
One of our parents, Tiffany Murray, has beautifully displayed a selection of handmade products in the glass cabinet located in the office area. These items are available for purchase.
If you're interested in viewing or buying any of her creations, please feel free to take one of her business cards, which can be found in front of the products inside the cabinet.
