Principal's Message

I will be on long service leave from Friday, 31 July until Tuesday, 25 August. During this time, Michael Wood, substantive Principal of Meadow Flat Public School, will be acting as Principal of our school. We warmly welcome Michael and know he will be a valued member of our school community during his time with us. Please make him feel welcome.

I am confident that I am leaving our school in very capable hands. Michael will be visiting the school tomorrow morning to complete a handover with me and to meet our staff and students before he officially commences in the role. Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to returning on 25 August.

On Tuesday night the P&C held the AGM. I would like to welcome the new executive.

We have a couple of new faces, and I am excited for what this hard working group of parents have in store for Eglinton during their time in these roles. The school community thank you for your hard work and dedication to our school.

A big thank you to the P&C for the new concrete slab. Stage 2 are enjoying eating their Crunch & Sip and lunch in a dry, sunny spot. We are also using it for handball, tennis games and for concert practice. Can't wait until we can afford the roof to make it useful for all weather conditions. 

NSW Netball Championships

Congratulations to Frankie and Hugh who represented Western Plains at the NSW Primary All Schools Championship at Netball Central this week! Both boys played great and enjoyed this experience!

100 Days of Kindergarten

What a great day celebrating 100 Days of Kindergarten! 

Our kindergarten students had so much fun dressing up and taking part in all the exciting activities. It was wonderful to see their creativity, smiles, and enthusiasm as we celebrated being 100 days smarter. 

Student Code of Conduct

On Tuesday morning, I met with students in their year groups to introduce the new NSW Public Schools Student Code of Conduct. All students are aware of how they need to be respectful and responsible at school each day.

The Student Code of Conduct applies to all NSW public school students. It applies to all school activities, both on and off the school site, including online, and how students conduct themselves individually and with other students, teachers, school staff and community members.

Teachers will continue to refer to the Student Code of Conduct throughout Terms 3 and 4 to ensure all students have a clear understanding of the expectations and the positive behaviours that help create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.
