Principal's Report

Dear students, families and carers,

As I write this message it is a beautiful warm day and whilst there is unsettled weather on the way it is a reminder to start gearing up for summer.  Yesterday at recess our Annual traditional Footy Colours Day parade was happening.  From memory we have regularly had great enthusiasm  for this event and this year is no different.  Whilst we can dispute which team is the best we are close to finding out which team will be the Premiers for this year.  It is SSG time again and we have seen lots of parents visiting the school to meet with their child’s homeroom teacher.  If you have not yet had a meeting please reach out to your child’s teacher, there is still time.  Book Fair is also happening and when I went down to look myself it was obvious it had been popular,  with students still looking at and choosing books.  It is a wonderful opportunity for students to reinforce reading and extend their interests and experiences.  With our intensive swimming program next week final adjustments are being made to its organisation. This is another school activity the students and staff are looking forward to.  With the Naranga Annual School Concert and Awards night on the 26th October please keep an eye out for when tickets go on sale.

LAST DAY TO GO IN THE PARENT/CAREGIVER/GUARDIAN OPINION SURVEY

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents / caregivers / guardians think of our school. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional but we encourage all families to participate. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

All families are invited to participate in the survey.  Information on how to access the survey can be obtained from the Office.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023.
