PDHPE

K/1/ and 2/3

Our K/1 and 2–3 students are having so much fun in our Fundamental Movement Skills program, which is all about building essential physical confidence and coordination through play! Through high-energy games like "Red Light, Green Light" sprints, leaping over the "River Leap" and dashing through the "Superhero Dash", the kids are loving every minute. We can really see them making progress and we are looking forward to seeing even more improvements as they land softer, throw and catch with far better control and sprint faster than ever.

Year 4

This week in PDHPE we have been looking at how positive self-talk and pep talks can promote emotional regulation, enhance our self-esteem and enhance resilience. We enjoyed listening to Kid President and how he models using humour and positivity. In their journals students completed a “Self-Esteem Shield” where they visually represented their strengths, positive qualities and talents. It is important to be aware of and reflect on these throughout our lives to boost our mood and promote a positive mindset.

5/6

This week in PDHPE, our students have been taking a closer look at their active lives, tracking how much movement they get each week and exploring what truly inspires them to stay active outside of school.

PE classes have been packed with energy as we head outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and focus on a variety of fast-paced court games. Through these games, our students aren’t just building physical skills - they’re putting teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play into action every single lesson. It’s been fantastic seeing everyone encourage each other and work together.
