Dear Families,

Following yesterday’s stop-work action, I would like to express my gratitude to our families for the patience and understanding shown. With the support of staff across the College, we were able to minimise disruption and maintain appropriate levels of care and supervision for students who remained on campus for the afternoon.

It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge the incredible support we had from Moonee Valley Bus Lines, whose swift and comprehensive pivot allowed for our regular network of buses to run in the middle of the day. We know that many of you appreciated this.

I extend my gratitude to the families who have engaged with me and the College Board and leadership over the past couple of weeks regarding these EBA negotiations. I am sure that the staff have been heartened by the support, too. With input from the College Board, we have developed a set of FAQs responding to questions raised by some staff members and families.

Negotiations are continuing, and we remain committed to engaging constructively with the Bargaining Committee as we work towards an agreement that recognises the contribution of our staff, supports the College’s future and keeps fees as affordable as possible for families.

Thank you again for your ongoing support and understanding.

I wish you and your family a restful school holiday period.
