If you require assistance with your Compass log in details please email Ms Hogan at naradmin@arm.catholic.edu.au

AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP TIME

We kindly ask that parents and carers please ensure that their child/ren are picked up as soon as possible after the end of school bell has rung at 3:15pm. Supervision of students finishes at 3.25pm with the school office closing at 3.30pm.  We understand that there will always be exceptional, occasional circumstances and these will be catered for.

CHANGES TO ABSENCE NOTIFICATIONS

As from MONDAY, 20th May 2024, to provide consistency across the Diocese, the Armidale Catholic Schools Office will be implementing changes to Absence Notifications.

Please see below:

  • Daily SMS absence notifications will be sent at 10.00 am
  • Unapproved Absence Letters will be emailed WEEKLY of a FRIDAY (for the current week's absences) at 11.00 am.  The reason for the absence is to be provided within 7 days.  If a reason is not provided then the absence will be recorded as unexplained.
  • Absences may be explained via the Compass Parent Portal or app, email or note to the school office

To give families time to adjust to these changes to our current procedure, we will continue to send home paper copies of the Unapproved Absence Letters for term weeks 4, 5 and 6.

NO TOYS OR BALLS AT SCHOOL

All families please be reminded that children are asked not to bring toys to school. This includes Barbies, trucks etc as well as sports equipment (footballs, soccer balls or basketballs).

The exception to this is, if the item is for a special occasion such as news day or if it has been pre-arranged with their teacher.

Bringing toys from home causes distractions at school as well as the possibility of them being accidentally lost or broken. The school is not responsible for any damage or loss of items brought in from home.

Thank you for your support.

WINTER UNIFORM CHANGEOVER

Students are currently allowed to wear either winter or summer uniform, which is a decision based on parents' discretion depending on the weather. The official changeover to winter uniform is NEXT MONDAY 3rd June 2024.

Please remember though, depending on your choice, that the students are to be dressed in either:

FULL SUMMER UNIFORM:   A school jumper or jacket may be worn.

FULL WINTER UNIFORM  -  including school tie.

*** stockings are NOT to be worn with summer dresses.

*** no short sleeve shirts with trousers.

*** no long sleeve shirts with shorts.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION

We have been contacted by the local Narrabri Police with regards to families parking in the Bus Zone as well as other designated "No Parking" zones.

A reminder to please ONLYpark in designated parking zones. The local Police advised that they will be conducting regular “drive pasts” before and after school and that fines will be issued for illegal parking.

Please be mindful of the parking options for any upcoming events such as Grandparents Day, the Father's Day Breakfast and our fortnightly Awards Assembly.

Reminder - Parents are NOT allowed to collect their children from the bus zone.

If you need to change your pick up arrangement, please contact the school and we will give your child a message.
