What a Show! Our Wonderful School Concert
Last week, our school was buzzing with excitement as students, staff, and families gathered for our much-anticipated school concert, and what a spectacular night it was!
A huge round of applause goes to Mrs Newell, who wrote and choreographed every part of the show with creativity, care, and an eye for fun. From start to finish, the performance was a vibrant celebration of music, movement, and laughter.
I received this kind email from a parent during week, a sentiment with which I heartily agree!
“Personally, we are absolutely blown away by the quality and professionalism of the concert. My in-laws in particular were saying how Nerida is worth her weight in gold after seeing the performance. It was all so thoughtfully curated, and I was thinking about what an amazing experience it was for kids whose families either did not have time or finances to access theatre extracurricular activities, or for kids who didn't know they wanted to have a go at that - it was such a wonderful taster of what that world can be for them. I cannot wait for the next one!”
Our talented students truly shone on stage, singing and dancing to the timeless hits of Vintage Vinyl with energy and joy. Their confidence and enthusiasm were infectious, lighting up the stage and putting smiles on every face in the audience.
Adding extra sparkle were our fantastic young actors, who brought the comedic scenes to life with brilliant timing and plenty of laughs. Their performances had the crowd chuckling all evening!
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our ex-students who kindly returned to help backstage; your support made such a difference. And of course, a big thank you to our dedicated staff for their behind-the-scenes efforts and encouragement throughout the lead-up to the show.
It was a night to remember, a true celebration of our school spirit and talent!
101 Days of School Celebration
On Thursday 25th July, our Foundation students marked a very special milestone, 101 Days of School, and what a fantastic celebration it was!
The day was full of smiles, laughter, and colour as our youngest learners came to school dressed in the cutest 101-themed outfits you’ve ever seen. From dalmatian spots to creative costumes, they all looked absolutely adorable! A highlight for me was walking to each prep room only to have the whole class start yipping!
Adding to the fun, our wonderful Foundation teachers truly embraced the theme, dressing up as Cruella DeVil. They looked amazing! The students were so excited to see their teachers in costume, and it made the day even more magical.
The classrooms were buzzing with exciting activities; all centred around the number 101. From crafts and counting games, the students had an absolute ball. The celebration ended with a delicious fish and chips lunch, which everyone enjoyed together.
It was a joyful day full of fun, friendship, learning, and fabulous outfits, a perfect way to celebrate 101 days of learning and growing!
Principal’s Day Celebration!
On the 4th of August, our school came together to celebrate Principal’s Day. Mrs Dunn and I were truly touched by beautiful handmade cards, drawings, videos and books made for us by the children; all filled with kind words and colourful artwork. These special gifts brought big smiles and warm hearts, reminding us all how wonderful our students and teachers are.
To make the day even more special, the Parents and Friends Association kindly provided a delicious morning tea for all staff. It was a lovely way to relax and enjoy time together.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable!
School Swimming Success!
Our recent school swimming program was a big hit! Over the past two weeks (six days), students from all year levels took part in swimming lessons, building both confidence and skills in the water.
Each day, students practised important water safety techniques, including floating, treading water, and safe entries and exits. They also worked on their swimming strokes, with many making fantastic progress!
A big thank you to our wonderful instructors and teachers who made the program such a success. Well done to all our swimmers for giving it their best!
Foundation Enrolments for 2026. It’s Not Too Late to enrol your child.
If you have a child starting Foundation in 2026, it’s not too late to enrol! We are still accepting enrolments and enrolment forms are available from the school office. Feel free to drop in and collect one or give us a call if you have any questions.
Kindy PE is happening next week, giving our future students a fun chance to get active and begin feeling comfortable at school. Transition sessions will begin in Term 4, helping children settle in and get ready for their big first day.
We look forward to making the start of school a positive and exciting experience for everyone!
Social Enterprise Chicken Schnitzel Roll Fundraiser
On Thursday, August 15th, our Social Enterprise program cooked and sold delicious chicken schnitzel rolls to our school community, raising money for Big Group Hug.
Under the guidance of Mr Meagher, Mrs Winter, and Mr Cass, our student leaders, along with dedicated student and parent volunteers, worked together to prepare and serve the rolls. Their teamwork and enthusiasm helped make the day a great success, and the support from our school community was fantastic.
A big thank you to everyone who helped and to all who purchased a schnitzel roll. Not only did we share a tasty meal together, but we also contributed to an important cause.
Why Going to School Everyday Matters
Coming to school each day is one of the most important parts of your child’s learning journey. Every day at school, students explore new ideas, build on their knowledge, and grow their confidence.
Regular attendance helps children develop:
Students who attend school every day and complete Year 12 are more likely to enjoy:
There’s no “safe” number of days to miss; everyday counts. Each day away from school is a missed opportunity to learn and grow. Let's work together to help every student be at school, every day!
