TheirCare News
Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 6 of Term 4.
We would like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging.
Week 6 - woohoo, almost halfway through the term! Our theme for this week is “Sports Week”. This week has been packed with lots of fun and action! We've spent our mornings and afternoons outdoors playing a variety of sports such as cricket, soccer, Gaga and volleyball - with each game filled with energy and friendly competition. Between the games we had a blast making giant bubbles with bubble wands, watching them float and pop in the breeze! We also got creative with some arts and crafts - one of the highlights was creating our very own baseball buddies, which was a fun and exciting activity to do! The excitement did not stop there! Some kids even put their building skills to the test by creating their very own Lego house - a masterpiece of imagination and teamwork! If that was not enough, we also kicked off an epic UNO competition where the stakes were high and laughter was never ending. The energy was infectious as everyone did their best to claim VICTORY!
Pupil of the Week
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Quinn Polon, for her kindness, for always being respectful and ready to help others when needed. Well done Quinn! You should be very proud of yourself.
TC Tucker
TC Tucker has been a huge success for this term! The children always look forward to our afternoon tea. This week we had ravioli on Monday, and we will be having pizza on Thursday.
We are encouraging families to join us in this program by submitting or suggesting a recipe that we can have for afternoon tea.
Announcement
We would like to let all families know that we are currently undertaking a medical audit. If your child/children have medical conditions, please know that we need their updated medication and medical documents. This week we will be handing out a white envelope that has a pre-filled risk minimisation plan in it. If you could please sign it and return it to us. Also, due to it being a compliance document, unfortunately, we will have to suspend your accounts if we don’t have the documents on-site.
On Friday, 22nd of November, we are celebrating The Pyjama Foundation National Fairy Bread Day! It is a celebration dedicated to empowering Aussie kids in foster care to bring joy and love into the children’s lives that need it most. Please join us as we sprinkle some kindness by making our own fairy bread snack during after school care!
For all families – if you have any questions about TheirCare and would like to come and have a chat, please visit us in Emu Corner in either the morning or afternoon. Alternatively, you can contact us on the details provided and we will be happy to help you.
