Humanities
In Humanities this week students have explored the history and importance of Remembrance Day.
Remembrance Day was first held in 1919, one year after World War 1 ended. Remembrance Day is held on the 11th of November - the 11th day of the 11th month of the year. A one-minute silence is always held to remember the soldiers, sailors, airmen and women who have fought in wars to help keep us safe.
Students also made mosaic poppies to lay during our special Remembrance Day assembly.
