On Monday, during our whole school assembly, the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

You have settled into your first week of Prep wonderfully, embracing every new routine with a confident smile and a kind heart. You have already become such a supportive friend, quickly noticing when a classmate needs a hand and offering your help with genuine care. Well done, Suhana! We are so excited to welcome you into our SMDP community. |
PN | Isaac | For being a motivated learner at school. He arrives every day with a happy, can-do attitude, listens carefully, and follows directions. Isaac quickly learned our Ways of Working and classroom routines meaning that now he can help classmates remember them too. His consistency, positivity, and effort are a wonderful achievement so early in Prep. Great work Isaac, keep it up. |
1C | Lukas | For showing outstanding collaboration and kindness to our new students. This student plays respectfully in the sandpit, includes others, and thoughtfully offers help when it is needed. He is a wonderful role model and helps make our classroom a welcoming and safe place for everyone |
1M | Mia | For being a motivated learner, you listen beautifully on the carpet, get on with your work straight away, work nicely with others, and approach all your learning with a smile. You have a really good attitude. Well done, Mia! 🌟 |
2E | Suveer | For demonstrating a strong and positive approach to learning. You show enthusiasm for learning and care for others by supporting your classmates in a kind and considerate way. You pay close attention during lessons, begin tasks promptly, and collaborate well with your peers. You have made an excellent start to Year 2. Congratulations, Suveer! 🌟 |

3/4LM | Kavya | You started the new year full of motivation! Your positive attitude radiated throughout the class and your enthusiasm to show independence is wonderful to see. You are focussed and engaged, confidently sharing your ideas and when things got a bit tricky you did not give up! What a terrific start to year 3! Congratulations Kavya! |
3/4K | Mark | For being a reflective learner this week. You have been focussing on our class and school routines, following them calmly, and respectfully supporting others to do the same. You are setting a fantastic example for your classmates. Thank You for helping our classroom be a calm and successful place to learn Mark. |
3/4S | Sam | For starting the year in such a positive way. You always volunteer to help others, show respect in your interactions, and make a genuine effort to ensure our classroom is a safe, happy, and welcoming place for everyone. You always listen carefully and have shown great leadership skills through your approach to getting learning tasks completed and through valuable participation during class discussions. PN | Erika | For being a resilient learner who persists even when it feels difficult. Erika has set a great example for her peers by lining up every morning ready for school and engaging happily throughout the day. Your positive attitude has helped you to do your best and a little bit more. Well done Erika, you are a super star. |
1C | Lia | For showing outstanding perseverance and courage on the monkey bars. She climbed up confidently but wasn’t sure how to get down. With encouragement, positive self-talk, and by trying different strategies, she kept going and reached success. This student never gave up and showed a fantastic growth mindset. We are so proud of her determination and bravery. |
1M | Zoe | For showing amazing resilience as you begin your journey at a new school in a new country. You have shown resilience by stepping bravely into new routines with a positive attitude. You help pack up without being asked, share resources kindly, and check in on classmates to make sure they understand the learning too! You are already making our classroom stronger through your kindness. We are so happy to have you here, well done Zoe! |
2E | Kevin | For showing wonderful motivation in your learning. You stay focused and involved in every lesson and always try your best to finish your work. You show kindness by helping your classmates and being a supportive friend. It is fantastic to see that you also enjoy practising your spelling words and learning at home. You have made a great start to Year 2, and we are so proud of you. Well done, Kevin! 🌟 |
2A | Tejasbir | For being a collaborative learner this term. You have supported the new students in the classroom to make sure they feel settled and welcome. You also worked together with a partner to create an insightful think board about our reading book ‘Voices in the Park’. Well done Tejas! You are star in 2A. |
3/4LM | Agustin | For being a curious learner with an enthusiastic attitude! During our Winter Olympics activity, you asked many questions, explored with different materials and experimented with clever ideas. You also showed creativity and imagination but most importantly, you were fully engaged throughout the entire session, encouraging and your classmates with positive feedback and kindness. Well done Agustin! |
3/4K | Aria | For being a resilient learner during our Potato Olympics. When things didn’t go to plan, you asked for help and used your strategies to return to the Green Zone. You then tried something new so you could be successful, showing maturity and self-control. You should feel so proud of your perseverance and the positive example you set for others. 3/4S | Axel | For being a positive role model in our 3/4 classroom every day. . You try your absolute best in everything you do, showing determination, focus, and a commitment to high standards in both your learning and behaviour. 5M | Ramielle | For being a collaborative learner, Ramielle is a positive and supportive member of our classroom who is always working hard towards her goals. During group activities, Ramielle listens to others’ ideas and politely encourages her group to stay focused on the task.. She shows determination and keeps trying, even when things feel overwhelming. Ramielle is a great role model in our class, keep up the fantastic work! |
5A | Sanvi | For being a resilient learner at the swimming trials, you confidently had a go at all strokes and demonstrated a strong growth mindset , staying positive with grit and determination to complete the 50 m swim.Congratulations on making the swim team, Sanvi!
